Shore Cap Analyst Leaves to Join Union Jack!

Now this is an interesting piece of news. One of the top analysts at Shore Capital leaving to take up a new position at Union Jack?

This is an impressive replacement for Ray Godson who is to step down at the AGM and Craig Howie brings a wealth of experience of the oil sector to the company along with an already deep understanding and insight of how this company operates.

Craig is an Extel-ranked analyst who joined Shore Capital Markets in 2010, where he has helped establish a leading corporate broking franchise in the small and mid cap E&P sector. He has wide-ranging experience including on the buy side at Murray Johnstone and in corporate finance at Williams de BroΓ« in the City and KPMG Corporate Finance in Aberdeen. He subsequently spent five years at Blue Oar Securities, becoming a director of equity research and covering a number of highly successful resources companies including Kalahari Minerals and Amerisur Resources. Craig holds several securities industry qualifications, including the Investment Management Certificate, and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

This is yet another impressive step by the management towards ensuring Union Jack ‘moves with the times’ and increases the strength of the board as the US operations increase momentum.

There’s no doubt the UK oil sector is experiencing a major setback what with the Energy Profits Levy, the negative outlook by councils on planning applications and the potential election of a labour government.

Moving into the United States is clearly being seen as a wise move for the company and bringing Craig into the fold at this stage I am sure will return some additional important benefits as progress is made over the coming year.

There has been nothing short of a glut of good news from Union Jack so far this year with news still to come on the Andrews-1-17 well, West Newton, Keddington, the Mineral Royalties, a dividend and the Wilzetta PLUS whatever else David Bramhill has up his sleeve. Exciting year for all ahead πŸ’ͺ
